This book was a great comfort in understanding what is going with me. I have celiacs, or at least the markers, now I have another test to confirm. It gives some basic easy to understand information. Doesn't try to sell you anything and is very helpful in getting your head around what to do and how to do it. I have to go gluten free soon, this is no doubt, but now I feel I have a better sense of things. I know that a lot of people of going gluten free, this is by choice, but if they happen upon a bit of gluten here and there they will be fine...people with Celiacs it's a whole different story. It's no fun feeling sick all the time, so going gluten free is something I look forward to now. It's going to be difficult but so worth the effort. Mainly the book puts across that although something is deemed gluten free it may not be good for you. Gluten free food is not health food, it's just food without gluten. So eating those cookies that have no gluten are still cookies. So, I will focus on chicken, fish, fruits and veggies along with rice and beans. This is the best approach. Ice cream is a treat....and it's gluten free :)
